We are excited for the new stadium and are really hoping to get to see it when its finished. But at the same time it has been really sad to see the last days of the old Yankee Stadium. It is hard to believe they're going to tear it down. So much history has happened there and some of the greatest baseball players in the world have been Yankees. Cole was in heaven last week as he got to watch countless segments on the Yankees and Yankee Stadium. He has been a Yankee fan since he was little and seriously, I've never seen a more devoted fan in my life. I can give him credit for converting me into not just a baseball fan, but a true Yankee fan and that is one of my favorite things we have in common.
We were lucky enough to go to Yankee Stadium when Cole picked me up from New York. But because it was the playoffs, we weren't able to go inside (such a HUGE bummer). It was still so surreal to be where so many sports hero's have been and SO fun to see Cole in his element. He really could have spent all day just walking around and it taking it all in.
We hope this new stadium brings good luck to our Yankees! There is no other team we'd rather cheer for!
