HaLLoWeeN and other things......

(Warning...this is a LOOOOONG post)

Last Sunday, we went up to my family's house to carve pumpkins and eat soooo much yummy food. Since Ben and Sarah and Trevy are gone, we were glad to have my aunt, uncle and cousin up to join us. (Trust me though, it wasn't the same without you guys!!!)
Since I already had my fill of carving pumpkins (see disaster), I was mainly excited to hang out with the little ones.

These boys crack me up. Neither of them were crazy about digging out pumpkin guts, but once they got to the cutting part, they were at it for a good hour and a half. Zayne's little concentrated face was seriously priceless.

Vincent carved that moon all by himself....such a talent! :)

Zayne carved lots of things into his pumpkin. There is a moon and stars and a monster and a scary face...can't you tell?

Cole's pumpkin, another scary face, it was still too light outside for the light to shine through. For some reason, the picture of my carved pumpkin won't pull through on blogger??? Anyway, it was a kitty and it was pretty fabulous.

The whole crew's masterpieces...

On to HaLLoWeeN....... after work, I stopped by to see the kids in their costumes.

Vincent was a Transformer (sans Transformer mask)

Miss Mylee was a purple butterfly

Allie was a little pink butterfly

And Zayners was....Zayne. He REFUSED to play Halloween. He did not want to go Trick-or-Treating, he did not want to go play with kids and he absolutely would not put on his costume. I was super bummed too because it was one of the cutest and funniest costumes I have ever seen.

He was supposed to be Mike Wasowski from Monster's Inc. He had these cute little boots to go with it and a blue hard hat....too stinkin cute. Maybe next year :(

After I saw the kids, Cole and I went over to his parents house to hand out candy. We both love doing it, but we don't get any Trick-or-Treaters at our place. After a while, Cole decided it would be funny to dig out one of his old Halloween masks and try and scare kids as they came to the door.

He just sat on the step waiting for each one to come. He did get some of the kids pretty good. I have to admit it was a pretty ugly and nasty mask. We had a good laugh though.

After the 4 (yeah four BIG bags) of candy ran out, we went out to dinner with Cole's parent and then topped the night off with a scary movie. I must say it was one of the best Halloween nights we've had since we've been married. I can only imagine the things Cole will have up his sleeve when we have a house and he can decorate in all things SpOOOOky!!!!!!!
