4

Even though we had a play date because it was his birthday .....

I think it was me that really need him this week.

There aren't words that could do this little one justice.

He is getting older and more grown up every time I see him, which is something I can hardly take in knowing that the older he gets, the less he is going to let me steal him away. I fear gifts and happy meals are only going to be good bribes for a few more years, but for now I will savor the little moments we get together.

Happy birthday little Zayners!

hitched

Well, they did it! It was a long day, but a beautiful one. Sasha & J.R. are a great couple and we couldn't be more happy for them.

I'll spare you the commentary and just show the day in pictures. Congrats you two! We love you!

last month

Did I miss March?

Time is going by too fast. We are busy. I think about doing a blog post, but then I think about making cookies....or catching up on the DVR.....or scrapbooking somebodies wedding pictures(1 week!!). And clearly all those things turned out to be better options.

First things first.

Easter.

It came and went. We celebrated a week early with my family and turns out we were divinely inspired, because I wore flip flops while the rest of you who celebrated a week later froze.

The kids went crazy when they found a letter from the Easter Bunny telling them he left eggs for them to find to practice for the real Easter.

How was I ever entertained before these kids got here?

It was the perfect ending to a chapter in our family story. (More on that later)

The day before Easter, we celebrated with Cole's family. As always, we colored a million eggs...such a fun tradition
Cole takes egg coloring very seriously.
Sasha and J.R.
And we can't forget Dan on his yearly quest to make the ugliest egg.

Mission accomplished :)

This is Bella. She is the newest addition to the family. Well, not our family, but Sasha's. They got her a couple months ago and she is such a sweetie. Crazy but sweet.

March also brought Miss Mylee's 2nd birthday. We enjoyed cake and ice cream and good company while she slept through the fun. She finally woke up just as soon as we were all about to leave and we got to see her open her presents.

Lastly, my parents moved away. It has been a bittersweet time in my life. I have been spoiled for so long working just minutes away from their house and getting to have lunch with them every day.

I have so many memories in the house that I mostly grew up in. I didn't think it would be hard. It is. I don't get attached to things and I'm not a super sentimental person. But, I guess I am.

With the end of this chapter brings an awesome new one. They patiently waited while their new house was being built and it is finally done! They love the neighborhood, they love the house and my dad loves being closer to work.

I am sad they are farther away, but happy that its close enough to see them often. With the way that it has all fallen into place, I have no doubt that this is where they are supposed to be.

One last family picture at the old house

That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
My lesson has hopefully been learned because April is and will be CRAZY!!!!! Lots of fun things coming up, so check back later :)

The Christmas Post....

Christmas as usual, came and went in a total blur. Our weekend flew by like it never even happened. But I guess the good point is that it went by so fast because we were having a blast the entire time.

We started our Christmas celebration after I got home from work on Thursday at around 2:00. I came home and was surprised to get an early gift!

My husband is the greatest. End of story.
All the camera hassle was SO worth the wait.

For Christmas Eve, we spent the evening with my family. The house was full of family, good food and presents.....so magical.

The kids could hardly wait to open presents. Once the presents started to open, it was pure chaos.

My heart was beyond full. I love family and making sweet memories.

After we loaded up the car with our goodies, we stopped by Cole's parents for our traditional gingerbread cookies.

We were also lucky enough to open a Christmas Eve gift :)

We went home to sleep for what seemed like a few minutes, and then started our
Christmas Day:
Santa left me his yearly letter wishing me another year of happiness and a slice of Christmas cake. So special.

We both ended up spoiling each other, but had so much fun doing it. I got lots of clothes, a beautiful watch, an iPod alarm/player, a Team Edward water bottle :), and lots of other fun things.
Cole got a GPS, two pairs of Jazz tickets, LOTS of iTunes, a couple of hoodies, and lots of other little things.

Next, we went to Cole's parents for cinnamon rolls and more presents. Cole's favorite part is Whit, so we let her and Chloe open their gifts first.

Cole's parents are always so generous and thoughtful and we never leave without being completely spoiled rotten. We always worry where we will put everything once we leave!

Sasha & J.R. (who just got engaged this month!!!! YAY!!!!!!)

Our Christmas stash 2009....
After loading up the gifts in the car, we went to Grandma & Grandpa S's for a visit. Poor Grandma broke both of her wrists just two days before Christmas, so she was a little bit miserable. They are so sweet and we love to see them.

Next stop was Grandma & Grandpa B's house. They had some yummy ham and rolls ready for lunch that we always look forward to. They are so sweet to always give every grand kid & great grand kid a gift, which is a pretty daunting task considering how BIG the family is.

Our day continued as we went back up to my parents for a bit. We got to see what little Trevy got and showed us how big he is on his new bike. Such a cutie!

THEN, we headed back to Cole's parents for a yummy dinner and FINALLY sat down for a couple hours to see this....

Which I actually really liked, but I probably would have loved it if I wasn't so exhausted.

We slept so good that night.

Saturday we were able to clean up the house and find a place for all of our new stuff. And that night we saw
And I loved it.

So, it was a busy few days but like I said we had such a blast every second.

We have been trying to think of things to look forward to in these drab first months of 2010. We are planning on a fun New Year, the Olympics, wedding planning!!, and getting thismuchcloser to no more school!

We feel a good year coming on!

Happy New Year!!!
