hitched

Well, they did it! It was a long day, but a beautiful one. Sasha & J.R. are a great couple and we couldn't be more happy for them.

I'll spare you the commentary and just show the day in pictures. Congrats you two! We love you!

a Shower & a Birthday

Saturday was my sister-in-law's PinK bridal shower I threw for her....

I made some cute fortune cookies for deco/giveaways. Inside was a saying or quote about LoVe and candy. They turned out so much cuter than I imagined.

Cute cookies found here

These Foot Scrub favors turned out so fun. After the shower I actually tried it out and it makes my feet feel soooo nice!

Cute idea found here

These babies were a lot of work, but so worth it! I think Sasha and Cole's mom agree that it was a horrible idea. We all ate way too many of them. Oh, and they were PinK inside!

Recipe found here

Everything turned out so cute and I had a blast putting it together! I love weddings and all that comes with them. I am so excited for Sasha and have really loved seeing her beautiful wedding plans come together. To all those that came to celebrate....Thank You!
The bride to be!

Later that same day, we celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday....and not just any birthday...it was a BIG birthday. Now that I think about it, we should have made a much bigger deal out of it than we did....
Regardless of what birthday she celebrates, we hope she always has a special one!

And of course Whit was there with her party face on

We love and appreciate you!

We're Baaaaack!

We just got back from our Orlando extravaganza!!

Remember when I begged for a vacation??? Well, my wish was granted and we booked a trip to sunny Florida! Cole and I and his mom & sister had been waiting for this trip since the cold weather and I couldn't have asked for a better spot to go!

Cole & I went on our honeymoon to Orlando and some crazy (but incredibly beautiful, sweet, nice) person accidentally deleted EVERY single picture from our digital camera holding all our honeymoon pictures. (I still have nightmares) Needless to say, I was glad to go back, and get some pictures from our honeymoon spot.

Despite some sore feet and crappy flights, it was an awesome vacation! Everything went as planned and we found some new spots we didn't catch on our honeymoon that we can't wait to go back to!

It was so nice to be reminded of our honeymoon and the things we did. This is definitely our "special spot", which hopefully means many trips back there!

Because I took a million pictures, I'll break them up into different posts, so check out the posts below for all the excitement that went down last week....

V-Day

We had a very nice holidays weekend (we've decided we LOVE President's Day!). I thought we'd start Valentines Day early, so on my way home from work on Friday, I picked up the classic heart shaped pizza. I've never had one before, so I couldn't resist. I'd like to believe it tasted better than a regular shaped pizza....but it was pretty much the same. Adorable anyway!

On Valentine's morning, Cole woke me up with breakfast in bed.

Trust me, it was delicious!

He also had these little treasures waiting for me....

Beautiful!

Love me some music!!! Such a sweet and thoughtful guy I have!

Then, he let me take a nice loooong nap (yep, just a few hours after I rolled out of bed)! After we were well rested, we ventured out in the snow storm to find somewhere nice to eat. We tried making reservations for Saturday on Friday, which turned out to be ridiculously late to make Valentine's reservations ANYWHERE. We decided to to try Tepanyaki in Clearfield since they didn't have a reservation list....2 1/2 hour wait!!! Can you imagine? So, we ended up at Olive Garden, and decided to wait the 65 minutes to get a table, which actually turned out to be a fun and memorable wait.

If we ever get stranded in either of our cars at any time, I hope it is Cole's. He has got all the amenities you might need to live out of a car. We ended up naming it the "Coltel". We layed the seats back, snuggled in some blankies and watched a show about a North Carolina Women's prison on his spiffy TV phone. We laughed and just had a really fun time waiting.

Dinner was yummy and then I picked this chick flick to watch.

It was just eh. Cole tried hard not to fall asleep. I think I wouldn't have minded falling asleep, but I had these to keep me awake...

Not the prettiest of desserts I've made, but they were so delicious....and I ate them ALL by myself.

Thanks for the awesome/unforgettable Valentines Day hon!

Mmmmm....LoVe

I've said it before and I'll say it again....I love LoVe. I really look forward to Valentines Day because I think love is a beautiful thing.

Naturally, I'd make a list of all the things I love about Cole, but I've done that already and its obvious I love him. Instead, I made him do a little question/answer session with me :) Cole's answers are blue and mine are pink.....

Here is a little about the two of us:

1. If your spouse could change jobs, what would his/her dream job be?

Cole: Uhhh....a movie star?

Maddi: A professional athlete. Probably most likely in soccer....we would be Posh & Becks!

2. What one item of clothing does your spouse wear that you just can't stand?

Cole: Easy. Flannel pajamas (he bought them for me...and they are my FAVORITE thing to wear)

Maddi: North Carolina beanie that he wears to work. (Cole: I have to wear it to keep warm!)

3. Who takes the longest to get ready in the morning?

Cole: You know the answer to this.

Maddi: Me.

4. Who drives the worst?

Cole: You.

Maddi: What??? No you are definitely worse.

5. Who hogs the bed covers?

Cole: You.

Maddi: He is the worst cover hog there is. I don't know what he is thinking.

6. What is the most she has ever paid for a pair of shoes?

Cole: $250...I don't know

Maddi: I honestly don't know that I've ever spent over $100....

7. If your husband could be married to a movie star who would he choose?

Maddi: So many to choose from.....Eva Mendez?? I really don't even know.

Cole: No. Carrie Underwood. Oh wait, she's not a movie star.....Ummm (this seriously took him forever to come up with someone....good boy.) probably Rachel McAdams.

8. Within 3, how many pairs of shoes does your wife have?

Cole: 15?

Maddi: Err...closer to 20.

9. What does your spouse eat on their hot dog?

Cole: Everything. hahahha.

Maddi: ????? Thats sick. I eat just ketchup....just like YOU.

10. When you first met your husband, what would he say was the one thing which first caught his attention about you?

Maddi:I would say he totally dug my bubbly personality :)

Cole: My answer is....nevermind. I'll just say your eyes.

11. Who initiated your first kiss?

Cole: Thats hard...we know who did it. Madiah initiated!!!

Maddi: I knew you'd say that. It was totally mutual.

12. What is your spouse's most irritating habit?

Cole: Biting your cheeks...no, put itching...thats most irritating.

Maddi: Hmmm....yours is not rinsing your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher. (he thinks I'm making that up)

Now you know a little bit more about the Stagge Lovebirds.

We became Mr. & Mrs.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that it has been YEARS since our wedding day. And sometimes it seems like I've known you forever. I don't want to get mushy on here, but I do want to say Happy Anniversary to my dashing husband. We've been through it all and with each year, we've become better people. Because of you, I am a stronger, wiser, more patient and happier girl than I was 3 short years ago. Thank you for being you, for your patience with me and for loving me always. I wouldn't trade you for anything.

*I will ALWAYS be most ThAnkFuL for YoU!

dum...dum...dee...dum....

Its....WeDDinG SeAsOn!!!! I don't know about you all, but we've already got 3 weddings lined up! And May has only begun. But you won't see me complaining...I love weddings! So, in the spirit of the season (and since I still have nothing exciting to post AND because I still have not done a thing with our pictures since we got them), I thought I would dedicate this post to our big day.

Ahhhh the memories! The day couldn't have been more perfect. That might sound cliche, but seriously...it was perfect. Looking at the pictures, you would have thought we were married in April or maybe May....NoPe...we were married in NOVEMBER! November!....and probably the most beautiful November day Utah has ever seen!!! Not only was the weather perfect, the timing was perfect. I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to get ready, I think I woke up at maybe 6:00 am which yes is early, but I've heard of girls being up at like 3 am! Being able to sleep in was PeRfEcT. The temple was amazing and right on schedule and then our reception was just flawless and too. much. fun. Everything came together like a dream!
I am beyond excited for all these little lovebirds to get married! ahhhhh....love. i love it.
