Dam Fun

I wrote this post back at the end of July....was that really 2 whole months ago?? I only wish I would have already written all the posts that are to come, because now it seems like such a daunting task. Something about fall makes me want to organize and accomplish everything I have been slacking on. So, here I am 2 whole months later posting about what we did over the summer.....enjoy!

Since the town my parents live in had their fireworks show on Friday and since Cole had that day off work, we decided to make a weekend of it and have ourselves a little getaway.

Instead of fighting the crowds, my dad took us out to the airport to watch the fireworks that night. Although I love to be right under the action, making that memory with my family couldn't be topped. It was just us and maybe a couple mice enjoying a perfect night.

I also realized that I reallllly need to take a photography class. A photographer would probably call these pictures really crappy....maybe I could call them art? Anyone know of a good class?

That morning bright and early we headed to the dam where my parents rented a couple of jet skis for us to enjoy. I had never been on one, so it was extra exciting for me. It didn't take long for us to become pros. We spent the day in the sun eating treats and playing in the water. It was truly the most fun we've had in such a long time and I can honestly say my family is THE best.

After the crowds started to come and we got tired and (too) burned, we went out for more good food at Smokin' Blues BBQ. So good! My parents definitely know where to find the best food joints in town.

We sadly headed back home and topped off our perfect patriotic weekend the best way we know how. Just me and my hub laying under the fireworks.

Knowing that weekend was going to be difficult to beat, we looked forward to what the rest of the summer had to bring....

Hey I don't know what a good price is for photography classes but if you click on Jacki and Ladd's link on my blog, she just posted about photography classes that she teaches at her house. I know she's from Tremonton so she may still live there. Not sure! Anyway, hope that helps a little! It's at least something to look into!
