Park City

I have lived in the great state of Utah for almost 15 years and I feel completely lame that I, up until recently never discovered Park City. Yes, I have been to Park City, but I have never explored Park City.

Cole had a week in July off work for vacation, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for the two of us to getaway. My sweet dad put us up in not just a nice hotel, and because they think he is as cool as we think he is, they put us on the exclusive business floor allowing entry to only those with a special key. There was even a special room just for our floor that had treats and drinks for us throughout the day. Even if it was just for a day, we felt like high rollers.

We spent 2 days exploring, eating, shopping, and swimming, and at the end of our trip decided that we really wouldn't hate to live in Park City. It is just so beautiful and clean, I felt healthier just being there.

One of our stops on our "Must See" list was the Olympic Park. This place is truly incredible. Cole and I both love the Olympics, so we enjoyed browsing through the museum, watching the ski jumpers practice and walking around the park. We took the ski lift on a scenic ride and ended at the top of the hill where we took the Alpine Slide back down to the bottom.

Of course no mini vacation of mine would be complete without good food.

If you ever get a chance, you MUST try Yellow Snow Ice Cream. Not only is it a cool hangout, but it has some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted. As picky as my husband is, he would agree with me on this.

This short vacation was one of my favorites we have been on so far, considering it is only an hour away, I think we can manage to make it there yearly. Maybe more....just for the ice cream.

What a fun mini vacation! I used to explore Park City more when I was younger and my aunt and uncle lived in Heber City, but not much since than. Yellow Snow ice cream?? The name sounds disgusting, yellow snow, but I will trust you and try it someday if you say it's good :)
