Long Time. No Post.

Warm weather seems to make things busier. But I'll take it. I am loving the heat. We've enjoyed a few fun things recently.

We celebrated Mother's Day (and it was lovely).
Of course we'd be nowhere without our Mom's. We love you!
(Picture of me & my Mom is last years version....we were much too busy playing to take pictures! whoops)

We celebrated my Mom's Birthday (Love you Mom!)

And Cole finished studying....took his boards......

AND PASSED!!!!

Wahoo! Couldn't be more proud. Hopefully our posts won't include ANY school work for a little while :)

We've seen some good and some not so good movies.
We (as in I) have eaten countless amounts of slushies, smoothies, shakes and gelatas.
We finally turned our air on for the first time this year and never knew I could miss the smell of central air.
Life is good.

Valuable Info.

I have none of that. But I am soooo tired of seeing the same post from WEEKS ago. I had the perfect opportunity to post some awesome pictures from our awesome Super Bowl party we had at our place. 8 adults and 4 kids in our apartment reminded me just how nice it will be to have a house one day. And also reminded me how much I LOVE my family. They are so fun to hang out with. We had so much yummy food. It was a seriously good time....with no pictures.

So, on with some non-valuable things....

I am living for this season of "The Bachelor". Poor daddy Jason had some interesting women to pick from the get go. We (as in Sarah & Gram...how cool is it that my Grandmas loves this show as much as I do?) had the top choices picked out from the first episode.

This woman (who clearly has a young soul judging by her choice of clothes and beyond sparkly make-up) said goodbye last night. We thought she'd be packing the first night, but somehow lasted WAY too many episodes. I think most would agree it was about time.

We're all rooting for this one. Such a fun girl and cute girl. They truly seem perfect together...in the probably two weeks they've known each other by now, how could they not be soul mates???However, I have a feeling it will shock the world when he sends her home.

I am 85% sure he'll pick this one. Even though I think she is a nice, sweet girl, I am 90% sure it wouldn't work out between them.
Such drama in The Bachelor world....so addicting!!

**********
Do yourself a big favor and go see this movie.

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

Cole and I agree he'd be the perfect Bond. I could have done without the 25 year old looking teenage daughter who acted more like a 10 year old, but all in all it was worth seeing.

I know, I know...more reality TV, but does anyone else watch this?

I just got hooked and I can say that it makes me cry. Every. Single. Time. So touching. Really.

Thats all.

its about time.

The last few weeks, we have been SO busy. Lots of working, lots of reading, lots of homework, lots of absolutely necessary television and no blogging. You know how it goes.
Here are some the highlights and not so high-lights of the past couple weeks. . . . . enjoy!

Seriously you guys? I mean seriously. You make more money than me, my grandchildren and my grandchildren's grandchildren will ever make in our lifetime. I would HOPE that would be an incentive to WIN A GAME. Maybe even a few. Okay maybe that's pushing it. Take a few notes from these fine gentlemen.....

I am a mess. Playoff season is too much for me. I was never like this before. Blame Cole. And this picture seriously cracks me up. suck it houston.

Trust me, I haven't been spending all my time watching sports... I've also been reading awful, mind-sucking books like.....

WTF???? So messed up. Nothing more to say about that.

Cole has pretty much been M.I.A. lately. Finals are this week, so I try to lay low. A few more days and he is home free! (til summer semester starts....grrr.)

Speaking of Cole, he is THE best. Last week when I got home from work, literally the second I shut the door behind me, I heard the smallest, most sad little cry. I looked through the window and found this.....

This poor little thing looked so sad and would not stop crying. So I sent Cole a text message:
Me: Cole, there is a cat at our door and it won't stop crying. I feel bad.
(I thought for sure I'd get a "leave it alone" or "it will go away" like I'm sure most people would say. but no.)
Cole: give it some food and water.
You may think this is dumb, but my heart just melted. Neither Cole or I are big "cat people" by any means, so for him to suggest I take care of this cat was just too cute for words. Anyway, I took the (sweet) advice and got a little bowl of water and smashed up some saltine crackers (I have no idea what cat's eat???) and cracked open the door. Oh my gosh. No good.

Obviously I had no idea the intention of the cat was to terrorize. I no longer felt sorry for this cat, because now it was running all over the place just meowing (not crying anymore). I ran after it trying to give it food and water but it wanted nothing to do with my crackers.
It REFUSED to go outside of my house! I could go in to the dirty details, but basically I trapped it and took it outside and it continued its crying and even scratched on the door for the next couple of hours. I will never own a cat.

Congrats if you made it through this post. Hopefully we'll have some more exciting things to post about in the near future. Happy Tuesday.

Is it too early to celebrate Easter?

Since the weather has been so nice, I can finally see grass and I've devoured an entire bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs already (by myself), I think its time I declare the start of my Easter celebration!!!

I was in a pretty rotten mood the other day after having been to the store and FORGETTING to purchase HALF of the items on the list I FORGOT to bring with me. Actually, I've been in a pretty rotten mood for the last week.... (sorry Cole) but thats beside the point....... So, after I had a two year old little tantrum, Cole went back out in the rain to get the rest of the things on the list. Not only did he come back with everything I forgot, but with DARK CHOCOLATE MINI EGGS. YuM-o (i think i am rachel ray). Anyway, moral of the story.....I am so stoked for Spring.

So I really love American Idol this season. There are actually a lot of really really talented singers this year and I have been SO impressed by the little Utah boy! The kid is only 17 years old! Here he is from this last week:

As if it is not embarassing enough to admit that I am a 'cannot miss it' kind of American Idol fan....I have to say that I also VOTE. Okay, now you can laugh all you want. I'm still going to watch it.

There is nothing else exciting to report. We may get a Playstation 3 this weekend (i promise we are not nintendo nerds), so that is kinda fun. Other than that, we hope all is well with you and yours, and that all your TAX dreams are coming true.
